Corendon Airlines Introduces Child-Free Zones
|
I have nothing against babies or toddlers on planes but, as someone without children, it would be nice to prioritize rest and choose seating away from them (I’m so sorry, parents).
Turkish-owned Corendon Airlines is launching an "Only Adult" zone for a more peaceful flying experience for those who want to escape the symphony of seat-kicking and cries. As the first European airline to provide this service, Corendon follows AirAsia's example by offering a dedicated quiet area at the front of the plane.
💺 What’s an “Only Adult” zone?
These child-free sections are located at the front of the plane and will offer 93 seats exclusively for passengers aged 16 and over, separated from the rest of the aircraft by walls and curtains. Corendon plans to launch these exclusive zones on flights between Amsterdam and Curaçao, starting this November.
💸 What’s the cost?
Travelers can reserve an "Only Adult" zone seat for about $48 extra per one-way trip, with nine extra legroom seats available for roughly $108 per flight. Corendon's adult-only offerings also extend to hotels in destinations like Curaçao, Bodrum, and Ibiza.
Now, this is a concept that keeps all parties satisfied! It's possible that this trend could catch on among more airlines as they strive to cater to diverse passenger preferences and make journeys more seamless.

Czech Republic’s New Visa for Highly-Skilled Digital Nomads
|
You better Czech that your passport isn’t expired, because the Czech Republic has just introduced a digital nomad visa for highly skilled remote workers!
💻 Who can apply?
The initiative aims to attract candidates who are either employed by foreign companies with remote work allowances or self-employed freelancers. For the latter, obtaining a Czech business license that allows them to provide services to Czech companies under contract is required. The hope is that the visa will address the shortage of highly skilled IT professionals while boosting the economy.
Applicants need a university degree in science, technology, engineering, or math, or three years of IT industry experience. Remote workers from foreign firms must earn at least CZK 60,530 ($2,711) per month, and their company should have a minimum of 50 employees.
This opportunity is available to residents of Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, Taiwan, the UK, and the United States.
🇨🇿 How much is the visa?
The visa fee is CZK 2,500 (€112) for a one-year term. Afterward, you can apply for a residence permit that extends it by two years, including an adaptation-integration course. The visa process takes around 45 days, and staying over 183 days makes you a Czech tax resident. If your home country imposes taxes on you, the owed amount is determined by its double taxation rules.
