I used to feel like I was losing my mind with TSA constantly changing its rules every time I went to the airport. But it turns out, the program has finally clarified the reason behind the rule changes. All this time, I just assumed it was based on the agent's mood with me. This is my sign to not take things so personally!

In today’s edition:

  • Spain’s major offerings for pensioners

  • Royal Caribbean’s lineup for 2025 and 2026

  • British Airways’ 28 routes from the US this summer

(Not) losing my mind,

Kaylen

Spain Offers Subsidized Trips for Pensioners

Spread the word: Spain is offering subsidized trips to pensioners, including both Spanish citizens and foreigners residing in Spain, and I'm a tad jealous. Short getaways start from as low as $123, while longer trips are available for just $490. Destinations include the Canaries, the Balearics, and more!

The Institute for the Elderly and Social Services (IMSERSO) is a government agency dedicated to managing social services, focusing on facilitating affordable holidays for seniors to enhance their health and quality of life.

💻Spanish citizens and ex-pats eligible to apply:

  • Retired and receiving a Spanish public pension

  • 55 and older and receiving a widow or widower’s pension

  • 60 or older and receiving unemployment benefits or subsidies

  • 60 or older and a holder or beneficiary of Spain’s Social Security System

Applying doesn't guarantee acceptance; priority goes to older individuals, those with limited financial means, individuals with disabilities, and larger families. First-time applicants and those flexible with low-season travel (October-June) are also favored. If accepted, you can travel alone or with a spouse, common-law partner, or disabled child, regardless of their eligibility.

IMSERSO currently offers trips to Portugal outside of Spain, but Spanish tourism authorities are looking to expand the program throughout Europe, so this isn’t the last you’ll hear of this!
