"When will it be us?" I shout to the sky after reading that these are all of the European airports that are scrapping the 3-ounce liquid rule. As an American and a carry-on-only type of traveler, I pray for the day when I can carry full-ounce liquids without feeling like a criminal. Until then, I'll keep tediously transferring all of my hair care products into tiny bottles, one at a time…
In today’s edition:
This coastal Italian destination is getting an airport
Win a chance to see Taylor Swift perform in London
These are the most relaxing cities around the world

Amalfi Coast to Get New Airport This Summer
|
Italy's famed Amalfi Coast, a top Instagram destination, is set to have its own airport this summer, eliminating the need for additional transportation from Naples or Rome to reach your accommodation. With this news, a trip might be worth it. I hate feeling like a contortionist trying to fit all my luggage onto multiple modes of transport.
Salerno Costa d’Amalfi, opening in July, has a history dating back to its establishment in 1926, serving as a military base and private airport. After a hiatus from commercial operations since 2016, it's set to resume hosting flights, with Volotea leading the way. Located around 28 miles from Amalfi and 13 miles from Salerno, it provides easy access to the scenic coast.
✈️ When will flights begin?
Starting in July, flights to Nantes, Cagliari, Verona, and Catania will launch, with gradual upgrades expected to accommodate multiple airlines. The project not only aims to ease travel to the Amalfi Coast but also alleviate congestion at Naples’ airport, which had a record of 12.4 million passengers in 2023. Anticipated for completion in 2043, Salerno Costa d’Amalfi airport is set to host up to 6 million passengers annually.
